We offer Recreational Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) training for aspiring pilots who want to fly airplane on a recreational basis. Our RPL (A) is also suitable for people looking to begin pilot training with the basics and work toward their private Pilot or Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplane).
Our RPL (A) consists of two distinct components – flight training and theory training. These are taught concurrently so you will master the practical while engaged with the theoretical.
Flight training
You will complete a minimum of 29.5 hours flying which includes at least:
20 hours of dual flight time
6.5 hours of general flight time as pilot in command
3 hours of dual simulator time
Theory training
RPL theory training covers:
Basic Aeronautical Knowledge (BAK)
Flight Radio Operator's Licence (FROL)
pre-solo theory
pre-area theory
Aircraft type theory
DURATION
Part-time or full-time
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
15 years of age upon enrolment, 16 years of age to sit a flight test
Be able to demonstrate English language proficiency
